I can offer you a new picture of Felix Baumgartner’s Zenith Stratos El Primero Chronograph

The Zenith Chronograph Felix was wearing during his supersonic free fall back to earth looks good. More than that the watch shows no real damage. Take a look…

Yo all now the story meanwhile… Felix was wearing a Zenith Stratos El Primero Chronograph over his space suit on his right arm during his Red Bull Stratos mission. The watch and the mechanical altimeter gauge would, in case of failure of the electronic systems, have been his ultimate backup systems to time his jump. Nothing happened, so Felix did not need any of his backup systems. But Felix was looking on his watch during free fall and his was steadily monitoring his altimeter gauge.

The Zenith Stratos El Primero Chronograph now has been inspected and it is in perfect shape. Some scratches but no real damage on the watch. The El Primero movement performs well and so it would be ready for the next Stratos jump or any another adventure. Felix said he will now stop doing such crazy things and work as a helicopter pilot in Austria and the US. So Zenith will have to find another hero to test their watches ad the edge of space or anywhere else on earth.

Have a look at the watch. This picture is much better than the one I posted just after the jump. Enjoy!
