News from Chronoswiss

It got a bit quiet about the brand once founded by Gerd-Rüdiger Lang. Today Chronoswiss belongs to Eva-Maria and Oliver Ebstein, they continue the oeuvre of the founder but in their way. I invite you to discover the new 2014 collections …

The two entrepreneurs have pressed the reset button. They shot down the Chronoswiss manufactory in Munich and now concentrate the entire administration and production of the Chronoswiss watches in Luzern in Switzerland. The Chronoswiss manufactory in Luzern will officially be opened in August. I shall attend the opening and I shall afterwards narrate and show you what I have seen…

Eva-Maria and Oliver Ebstein have not reinvented the once founded brand Chronoswiss by Gerd-Rüdiger Lang again, but they have taken the best of the best to continue to build the kind of watches we were used to see at Chronoswiss: Good and authentic design, interesting executions and if possible the watches were fitted with either old or custom-made calibres.

If you are a former Chronoswiss buyer and collector I am sure you know what I mean.

Today I have just received the final Baselworld 2014 pictures from the new Chronoswiss collection and I was told to forget the material that was distributed during Baselworld.

So we literally again press the reset button.

I now want you to show you what the final Chronoswiss collection 2014 looks like. Just forget what you have seen before…

How are we going to proceed?

I will start my presentation over 8 pages by always giving you a brief description with a fact sheet about the new models shown and then I have uploaded for you really all the Chronoswiss novelties 2014 …

I like Chronoswiss. They have good design and finishing, and the watches have good quality and reliability with a reasonable price tag. They should sell better because they deserve to.

  2. Debashish says:

Most watches looked somewhat like Breguet, but I am sure watches will be cheaper as well as quite affordable.

Anyway, thank you for this nice write-up as well as lovely pictures!

  3. Marc says:

Love the styles as well – page 6 is ho-hum though.
However the dia 40mm is too small for the beautiful styles – the page 6 dia 44mm size is best for this brand.
    Keep it going Chronoswiss………………..

  4. Marco Ronchese says:

Very good looking, in fact almost perfect in looks. BUT, The knob of the winder and buttons on the other models needs serious attention.
    Suggestion:
Make the face and body a bit bigger but hide the buttons COMPLETELY with a push in pop out retractable mechanism with seal so that the watch looks as though it is a one piece master art creation with NO BUTTONS or WINDER sticking out like a sore thumb.
The sticking out buttons and winder put it in the same class as ALL their competitors.
Hide the buttons and winder and you are immediatly in a class of your own.
At the end of the day, all watches with sticking out winders and buttons just serve to offer another surface to accidently catch things on and break and bend.

  5. Paweł says:

Until page 5 it was great, very Breguet-like, as Nick pointed out (that case side finish…). Pages 6-8 – terrible, mess of a design. Still, best of luck to Chronoswiss!

  6. Nick Parker says:

Absolutely glorious. Rather Brequetesque, but probably a little more affordable. Good luck to the Ebsteins.
